Senior Business Development Manager – CTMS/eTMF

BSI Life Sciences develops Swiss-made software that helps CROs, pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech companies manage clinical research more efficiently. Our CTMS, eTMF and CRM solutions simplify how clinical studies are planned, managed and delivered, and connect commercial and operational processes for CROs.

As we grow internationally, we're looking for a commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager who combines clinical operations knowledge with successful sales experience. You may come from pharma/biotech, medtech/diagnostics, a CRO or a clinical technology provider, and you understand how trials are run and how CTMS and eTMF support them.

Your responsibilities

  • Generate and win new business through targeted outbound activity, industry relationships, conferences and partner networks.
  • Build trusted relationships with decision-makers across clinical operations, business development, IT and executive teams.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from discovery and first conversation through proposal, negotiation and closing.
  • Develop strategic account plans, nurture long-term relationships and expand existing customer accounts.
  • Understand and communicate how BSI's CTMS, eTMF and CRM capabilities address customers' clinical and commercial processes.
  • Represent BSI Life Sciences at industry conferences, networking events and customer meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Marketing and Customer Success, sharing market insights, and contributing to the product roadmap.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and contribute to forecasting and business planning.

What you bring

  • Several years of successful B2B sales or business development experience in clinical research or life sciences, including both new business generation and account development.
  • Practical clinical operations experience gained in pharma/biotech, medtech/diagnostics or CROs.
  • Experience using, implementing or selling clinical operations systems such as CTMS and eTMF.
  • Relevant sales experience is directly connected to clinical trial delivery, for example selling clinical operations software or CRO services for planning and executing trials, rather than primarily data products, staffing/headcount or general resourcing.
  • An established professional network within the clinical research ecosystem is a strong advantage.
  • A consultative approach and the curiosity to understand products, workflows and customer needs in enough depth to represent BSI Life Sciences credibly.
  • EU/EFTA citizenship and eligibility to work in Switzerland; you reside in Switzerland or can make our Swiss office your primary workplace.
  • Availability for a 100% role, working primarily from our Swiss office and travelling internationally.
  • Fluent English is required; additional European languages are an advantage.

Don't meet every single requirement?
Clinical operations, clinical systems and relevant sales experience are core to this role. Beyond those essentials, we welcome different career paths and would be pleased to hear from you.
